Georgeann Belcher's mission is to provide compassionate, affordable, and effective legal representation in all types of family matters. She prides herself on being accessible to clients and makes every effort to timely respond to communications, even if received after office hours or on weekends.

Ms. Belcher works with clients in the early stages of their case to identify realistic goals and develop a winning legal strategy. Her compassion and extensive knowledge of family law make her an effective advocate for her clients. She encourages clients to settle their matters amicably when possible, but is an aggressive advocate when necessary.

Georgeann Belcher's mission is to provide the best legal service, while maintaining a personable and friendly demeanor. She understands the gravity and sensitivity of client matters, as well as the importance of keeping the cost of litigation affordable. Because there is no “formula” in family matters, she works hard to devise a legal strategy personally tailored to the specific needs of each client.

ABOUT GEORGEANN BELCHER

Georgeann Belcher

Georgeann Belcher, Esq. graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University - New Brunswick in 2008, receiving her bachelors degree in both political science and journalism. She then attended George Mason University School of Law (now Antonin Scalia Law School) in Arlington, Virginia, where she served as an Associate Editor for The Civil Rights Law Journal and as a board member for the Trial Advocacy Organization.

Barred in both New Jersey and Virginia, Ms. Belcher began her legal career at a boutique firm in northern Virginia specializing in family law. She then spent two years at a large corporate firm. In 2015, she took time to travel to various parts of the world, including Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, United Arab Emirates, Germany, France, and Italy. Her experiences gave her a new perspective on life and herself, including the vision to return to her Jersey roots and family law practice.

After working briefly at family law firms in Hoboken and Jersey City to learn the subtle differences between New Jersey and Virginia family law, she opened her firm in 2017. Having observed the strengths and weaknesses of several firms, she developed a clear mission for her own practice, which focuses on each client's distinct need.

Ms. Belcher is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association, Hudson County Bar Association and the Bergen County Bar Association. She serves clients in Sussex, Morris, Bergen, Union, and Hudson counties.
